“Inspired by English Classical Literature and Japanese Art, my design stem from my roots”
Growing up in Tokyo with a Japanese mother and an English father, Lisa Swinbanks designs stems from both her roots.
After graduating in Applied Fashion Design and Technology at Ultimo TAFE in November 2015, Lisa began selling her designs at Manly, Kirribilli and Mosman markets.
Since her launch her work has been stocked locally as well as internationally. Her work has been published by My Hong Kong Wedding and Shuba Magazine.
She returned for further study later on at Ultimo TAFE to complete the Advanced Diploma in Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising, and during her final year of study marked Lisa Swinbanks calendar history.
On May 3rd 2019 Lisa Swinbanks’ inaugural Fashion Show for the launch of Ethereal Collection Resort 2020 attracted an estimate of 100 people and was covered by StarCentral Magazine Photographer Dave Choo and James Mao. A Q&A article was also published by Women’s Agenda post event.
Her designs are classic, simple and sweet. Using monochrome tones and pastels, she combines feminine elegance with a flirtatious twist.
Fabrics are sourced locally and in her home country, Japan. Majority of garments are exclusively Made in Australia with some limited edition pieces made overseas.
